The Thuli Mask by Quazi Design is a handcrafted decorative wall piece, made by women artisans in Eswatini from 100% waste paper using water-based paints, pigments, and glues. "Thuli," short for Thulisile, means "she who brings calm" in Siswati, and this mask wears that name beautifully. Heavy-lidded half-moon eyes and a single red circle rest on a round, matte black face, giving it a serene, unhurried expression. Above, a crown of gold rays fans out like a rising sun, framing a textured black dome. The facial details are cut from recycled magazine pages and hand-painted. Each golden ray is a strip of paper rolled by hand and hardened into shape. Because every mask is made entirely by hand, no two are alike, and each piece will vary in size, color, and finish. Proudly sourced from a woman-owned company.
