The Ingwe Mask by Quazi Design is a handcrafted decorative wall piece, made by women artisans in Eswatini from 100% waste paper using water-based paints, pigments, and glues. "Ingwe" means leopard in Siswati, and across Southern Africa the leopard is honored as a symbol of nobility, courage, and quiet power. This mask channels that spirit through a bold spotted pattern, inspired by the leopard's coat, applied by hand over a richly textured paper-pulp surface.
Available in two colorways, each with its own silhouette:
- Black: a deep matte black body with hand-dabbed white spots, upswept horns, and sharp zigzag edges. Raised rectangular eyes and a round mouth complete the face.
- Cream: a natural cream body with bold black spots, scalloped black sides, pointed ears, and raised square eyes.
A wire loop on the back makes it easy to hang. Because every mask is made entirely by hand, no two are alike, and each piece will vary in size, color, and finish. Proudly sourced from a woman-owned company.
